'Lipstick'
Another new McCain ad.
Obama's people are now saying that he wasn't talking about Palin. And the Media is pointing out an instance where McCain used the phrase to describe Hillary's health plan. Okay, fine.
It is, however, fair to say that using the phrase after Palin's phrase has become a signature of her campaign, tends to change the way the phrase is viewed. I think it's also fair to say that Obama's audience got the message, soon after he said it, they chanted, "No more pitbull,".
The, 'He didn't mean it like that," defense, I think, is weak, watered-down crap. It asks us to believe that nobody in the Obmama camp, while vetting the comments, said, "You know, that could be taken wrong in light of the pitbull thing."
I'm sure everyone on the Obama team who heard it, thought the exact same thing: Hardy-Har-Har.
